Plaza penthouse finally sells for $32 million (and that’s half off)

British developer Christian Candy has finally sold his Plaza Hotel penthouse triplex, according to city property records.

But the price — $32.7 million — is almost half of his original asking price. The closing record was first reported by Curbed.

Candy made his name in London, where the brash and brassy developer and his brother Nick created kleptocrat-friendly One Hyde Park.
